The art of the 'dulcería' is an ancient Mexican tradition with ancient pre-Hispanic roots. Due to its flavor, history and tradition, sweets are an essential part of the culture of Mexico. Try our brittle made with macadamias! You can't eat just one!

Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups of macadamia
(wholes, halves and/or pieces)
1/2 cup of brown sugar
1/4 cup of honey
4 tbsp of salted butter
salt flakes (optional)
Directions:
Place a sheet of waxed paper on a kitchen tray and set aside. Melt the butter (be careful not to burn it) and immediately add the honey and sugar. Once the mixture comes to a boil, add the macadamias and lower the temperature to medium heat, stirring constantly so that the macadamias are well incorporated

and they get covered by the mixture.
Cook them for 5 or 6 minutes ( it will depend on the type of stove you use) until the mixture is golden color.
Immediately transfer it to the tray with the waxed paper spreading the mixture very well to distribute it on the tray.
You can add a little bit of salt if you like them saltier (keep in mind that the butter already has salt, so this is optional). Let them cool down. It is best if you put the tray in the refrigerator for about 10-15 minutes and once they are cold, break them into pieces to be served or stored.
They need to be kept in the refrigerator to keep them 'crispy'.
You can have some in the middle of the afternoon, for that moment of 'sweet craving' or with a cup of coffee or tea, in the morning.
Do exercise after having a piece!
