I was born in the hustle and bustle of Mexico City. The population then, was five and

a half million people. My family were all more of the urban type. They were all born in

the big city too.

 

Luckily my cousins had a farm. The draw of the outdoors beckoned me to visit very often..

I grew up wild and free there, close to Nature.

 

The memories of those days marked me forever. I discovered that I felt more ‘myself’

being in contact with Nature than anywhere else.

 

As a spiritual person, Nature for me has always been a healing place. I grew up dreaming of having my own piece of land, a farm, one day. My own ‘healing place’.

 

That dream came true in the year 2000. I was shooting a movie in Veracruz, Mexico

and I fell in love with the area. The Foggy Forest captivated me and I was haunted by it.

I started exploring the land, and, some time later, The Maka Project adventure started.

 

In the year 2008, we started planting Macadamia trees. Today the production of

Macadamia nuts is a very important part of the Maka Project.

I cannot say it has always been easy.  But it has been worth every step of the way!

 

I am  very proud of what me and my colleagues have accomplished there and we would like to invite you to be a part of it.
